I’m currently hiring a new litigation attorney as well as a paralegal / legal assistant to help with the legal and administrative aspects of workers’ compensation claims in Washington State.

Entry Level Paralegal or Legal Assistant
Tacoma office – full-time position

One of our most beloved paralegals is getting ready to retire after being with the firm for many years. We are actively hiring a new full-time entry level legal assistant or paralegal to join our vibrant growing team. It’s very important for us that you genuinely want to help people. A work injury is a life-changing event – many injured workers need our help! Additionally, you must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You must be a good team player – we all depend on each other and we build each other up! Our team is positive and energetic. We work hard and play hard. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to this work culture and fit in!

This paralegal / legal assistant position requires close collaboration with other staff members, senior paralegals and attorneys. The daily responsibilities for this position include reviewing L&I claim files, completing and submitting paperwork for our clients, processing correspondence and following up with service providers, managing client calls, and diligently tracking tasks and deadlines.


Entry Level Associate Attorney
Multiple Locations OR Remote – full-time position

This is a full-time position for an associate attorney. As such, you must be an active member of the Washington State Bar. To qualify, you must be passionate about helping people, especially after a work injury. We are an integral part of the lives of the injured workers we represent. You must respect the importance of that role. Additionally, you must have an excellent work ethic and be committed and enthusiastic to win every case. The majority of litigation work takes place before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in all aspect of litigation from day one!

As part of this position, you will learn how to evaluate each case, to weigh strengths and weaknesses, and to develop litigation strategies. You will review and know every detail of every claim file you are assigned. You will understand the issues under appeal. Furthermore, you’ll identify the elements needed to meet the burden for each issue. You will assist in preparing and responding to discovery requests. You will prepare and respond to pre-hearing and post-hearing pleadings. You’ll prepare witnesses, present lay and expert testimony, and you will cross-examine lay and expert witnesses.
